Contributed Talks

Support

On this page you can register for iWOP2014 and you can propose a 25min contributed talk by submitting a title and an abstract. You also find information on how to apply for support.

Registration

You will first have to create an account by submitting your e-mail address and choosing a password.

You can then register one or more persons from the three categories Regular Participants; Student Participants; or Accompanying Persons.

Your registration will be complete once you have paid the relevant fee(s) by credit card. (This is the only accepted payment method.)

Note that, for each category, the conference dinner of £30 is included in the fee (as are other expenses such as conference material; tea/coffee breaks; etc).

The conference dinner will be held on the evening of the third day, 5 September 2014, together with the participants of the
Annual Meeting of the Irish Mathematical Society.

  The registration for this event is now closed.

Should you need to deregister (undo your registration) please send an e-mail to me to receive a full refund if this is done by 15 August 2014 and 50% refund if this is done by 1 September 2014. After that date, no refund is possible.

Contributed Talks

Each regular or student participant can propose a 25min talk once they have fully registered and paid the registration fee.

To do this, please go here and follow the instructions there. Your talk will only be appear on the list of titles/abstracts once it has been approved by the organiser; you will receive an e-mail notification whether your talk is accepted or not.

In case of oversubscription (there will be no parallel sessions), presenters of accepted talks will be offered a poster instead at the organiser's discretion.

Contributed talks can no longer be proposed, the final programme will be available soon.

Support

Each regular or student participant can apply for funding once they have fully registered.
(No funding application will be considered unless the participant is registered.)

  Please check carefully the criteria below to see whether you are eligible for any kind of support!
Most of the funding received will pay for the Plenary Speakers' expenses, there are only very limited resources for other types of participants!

You can apply for funding by sending an e-mail to the organiser provided you satisfy at least one of the following criteria

  • your normal residence is in a state of the fSU;
  • you are a fully registered PhD student in Ireland or in the UK;
  • you are a fully registered PhD student outside Ireland or the UK.

Since different levels of funding apply to each of the above categories, please give full details of your situation and the amount of money you would like to apply for (keeping in mind that our funds are very limited!). Registration fees cannot be waived! For PhD students, please state how far into your doctoral work you are and who your supervisor is, including her/his e-mail address.

Please apply as early as possible; I shall strive to make a quick decision so when the funds are gone, they are gone!

If you need support to organise child care during the conference, please apply directly to the London Mathematical Society for a Childcare Supplementary Grant.

  In case of any query concerning the above please send an e-mail to mail@iwop2014.martinmathieu.net
